The Wash Station PDF is designed to attach to a leg side of a patrol box. It holds 3 industry standard wash tubs. First one is for washing, second rinse and third is for sanitizating.

After washing your dishes place them in a mesh bag hanging from the handle of your patrol box to dry (a 30" mesh bag is availible at Dick Sporting Goods). Last strain your wash water through a sump bag. (A sump bag is a plastic shopping bag filled with leaves & or pine needles that has 3 very small, pencil sized holes punched in the bottom.)

Patrol Box

When we built our patrol boxes we used this basic design but made it with two doors. We made the doors out of cutting board material. We rivited the cutting board doors to the piano hing. The rest of the box was built out of 5/8" plywood, re-enforced with 3/4" x 3/4" pine strips in each corner and under the center shelf. We used parachute coard with a taut-line hitch at the top and a bowline knot at the bottom. To see

Construction Steps: Buy materials. Ripped 2x4 KDS stock to make the 1”x1 1⁄2” final stock. Alternatively you can buy 1 1/4" x 1 1/4 " pre-cut stock (Which will in fact be 1" actual size). Then cut everything to the correct lengths.
(5) 1” x 1 1⁄2” x 13”
(2) 1” x 1 1⁄2” x 38 1⁄2 “
(2) 1” x 1 1⁄2” x 33 3⁄4”
Sand all edges to take an sharpness away Pre-drill and glue each cross member. Clamp and then screw cross members to side pieces. Do the same to the leg. Paint all pieces with primer followed with a good exterior house paint. Install hinges with galvanized screws. Cut the 1” x 5” metal bracket in half length wise to make two 1” x 2 1/2” pieces. File all sharp edges. Drill a new 1/8” hole in the top center of the top half of each bracket. This will allow you to swing it out of the way when not in use. Install with one 3⁄4 “ galvanized screw. Wash station is now ready to use.
